THE FIVE LAMPS COLLECTION

The Five Lamps is a collection of table lamps that represent recent inspiration I have had to continue with my craft. It is dedicated to areas and landmarks that I have taken design inspiration from over the last 5 years in business.

The Fanad Table Lamp
The first lamp in the five lamps collection is the Fanad table lamp. It is inspired by a visit to Fanad Head Lighthouse in county Donegal a number of years ago. Its my favourite lighthouse and one of the most elegant designed by George Halpin in the 19th century.

The Glencar Table Lamp
The second lamp in the five lamps collection is the Glencar table lamp. It is inspired by a visit to Glencar waterfall in county Leitrim a number of years ago. It is one of the most stunning waterfalls in Ireland and a beautiful part of the country. I was inspired by the cascading torrents of water and feel this lamp replicates this with a cascade of light downward from the inverted long tubular spiral filament LED bulb.

The Kinsale Table Lamp
The third lamp in the five lamps collection is the Kinsale table lamp. The inspiration came from my recent involvement in the fit out of a new brewery in the idyllic setting of Kinsale county Cork. I was tasked with producing some unique bespoke light fittings for the brewery and bar and was very happy with the final look of the fittings and thought it would be apt to cleverly turn one of them into a table lamp.

The Blarney Table Lamp
The Fourth lamp in the five lamps collection is the Blarney table lamp. The inspiration came from my recent trip to see the magnificent Blarney Castle in county Cork. This is one of the most iconic images of Ireland and for years I was always fascinated with the need and desire of every tourist who comes here to visit and kiss the stone!

The fifth and final lamp in the five lamps collection is the one and only Five Lamps table lamp! Being a Dub and doing a collection of only five lamps that have inspired me over the last number of years I just couldn't leave out a true Dublin icon!

My Studio is in the heart of Dublin city and what better way to honor this but by creating a truly spectacular replica of the famous Dublin icon. Do you know the five lamps?!!
